Camm Neighborhood
Georgetown, Indiana is part of Floyd County and the metropolitan Louisville, Kentucky area. I-64 travels through the area and feeds into downtown New Albany and the west end of Louisville over the Sherman Minton Ohio River Bridge.
The Camm residence was located approximately three and a half miles from the Georgetown I-64 interchange and Kim's drive to downtown Louisville, the site of her employer, Aegon, normally took 20-25 minutes.
Georgetown is semi-rural and has an excellent school system with Floyd Central High School regularly securing a four-star rating in the State of Indiana. The school system, the lifestyle, and the easy and quick access to Louisville have made the rolling hills in this bucolic Southern Indiana area a great place to live for many middle and upper class families. Additionally, the area has a low crime rate and people routinely leave their houses and garages unlocked and allow their children to play without a lot of supervision. The Camm family was no different. They were living the American Dream in middle-class America.
